Airace was founded in 2021 by a small team with deep domain expertise in GNSS, RF design, and field surveying. The premise was simple: India deserved survey-grade RTK receivers designed and manufactured at home, not imported from Europe, China, or the US at 2x the price with months-long service turnarounds.
The first two years were heads-down R&D. Building chipset firmware from bare metal. Validating IMU sensor-fusion in the lab and on live sites. Engineering a magnesium-alloy enclosure that survives Indian monsoons, 45°C summers, and the inevitable drops onto concrete. The FX6i launched in 2023 as the first product, followed by the FX6i-Laser and the Navon flagship in 2025.
Today, more than 1,200 Airace receivers are deployed across India, in cadastral surveys, road and rail alignment, mining volumetrics, agricultural plot mapping, and government infrastructure projects. Demand has grown exponentially as Make-in-India procurement policies and NavIC-mandate tenders favour domestically engineered survey hardware. Every receiver we ship is field-tested and supported by an Indian engineering team that picks up the phone.
